We had a choice of 3 sites none were ideal. Our site was very trashy! I picked up trash around the site and in the fire pit (including a large piece of counter top) also moved a large piece of old carpet to the edge of the woods (where there was more trash). Our sewer hook up was directly below the water faucet, making it impossible to hook up the sewer hose while our hose and filter were attached. Not only that, we would have had to use the 3 sewer hoses to connect to the sewer. As we were only... Read More

The shower house was a combined toilet, shower and a large laundry room sink. No wifi, which is no problem for us. No cable TV but there were a few over the air channels. The campground is fairly close (20 minutes or so) to Laurinburg, which was the reason for our visit. The campground has a lot of potential, needs lots of TLC. Campground staff member should clean up the sites by removing old carpeting lying around and pick up trash left by thoughtless campers.

This place was awesome. Small, quiet. Owner lives there. `Rustic'. No concrete or asphalt, but it was a nice change. Lots of trees. We were parked next to the woods. Felt like being in the woods. The week we were there were mostly people there for working on the roads and hospitals. A few semi-permanents. We didn't have sewer or water but it was on site to refill or empty. Most sites have everything but not all do. We can go a week on our tanks anyway. They had a dog park. They have what must... Read More

Some interesting geodesic domes the owner lives in and some really good yurts if you are into that thing. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Yes the owners have a couple of small dogs but they were well controlled. The bathrooms are new and modern but the drywall joints in the geodesic domes weren't exactly `professional' but who cares? You are out in the woods!

Narrow roads lead to the entrance. Dirt road leads to checking area. Owners are very friendly as was the one worker we saw. Interior roads are packed sand - campground is located in the sand hills area of NC. Site was a pull through with gravel that was level. Appears that most campers were residents and worked locally, some transient based on truck tags. Ants were very active on edges of interior dirt roads and parts of `grassy' areas. Mosquitoes were active. There is no cable and no WiFi.... Read More

Mosquitoes were active. There is no cable and no WiFi. We were able to lock on a Dish satellite signal. A couple of dogs (friendly) were roaming but heat may kept them inside during most of the day. We saw only a few people as most appear to work during the day. I am sure they were friendly but we never met any they work and we didn't and sitting outside in the evening with mosquitoes and ants was not an option. The shower-toilet area was a geo dome shape building with single shower and toilet - but NOT a `9'. Does Good Sam ever evaluate or goes by camper reviews. This campground only has 1 review so I wonder if the reviewer was local. $40 a night is way out of line!

If you want peace and quiet, then this is the camground for you. The owners are very accommodating. Friendly campers all around. So happy I found this location. A little out but worth it!
