If you are looking for a great Colorado camping experience, this is not the place to go. From the recreation.gov description this sounded like an ideal spot to visit the Four Corners region. Not so much. No view of the lake, there was very little shade, and it was akin to camping in the desert. Our spot was just a wide spot on the side of the road. The only positive was there is good cell reception (VZW) so we were able to quickly find and make reservations at a better campground on the Delores... Read More

If you are looking for a great Colorado camping experience, this is not the place to go. From the recreation.gov description this sounded like an ideal spot to visit the Four Corners region. Not so much. No view of the lake, there was very little shade, and it was akin to camping in the desert. Our spot was just a wide spot on the side of the road.
