After traveling the Alaska Highway we finally making it to the Kenai peninsula. We stayed in this RV park. We are a 37 foot fifth wheel and need a space that will accommodate us--which they had. We stayed in a site that was in a 4-plex set up where 4 trailers all faced one another. The park was pretty full. The family that runs the park also has a big field where they raise llamas and horses. The weekend had been so busy that they used this field as the overflow lot. Check in was smooth and felt very family owned. The son (grandson to the folks that started the operation) took us to the site on his unicycle--he was very helpful in getting us parked. There were other activities that were also done at the campground and conducted by the family that ran the operation. We chose to do the Saturday hike to a local area. The woman that checked us in lead the hike. We learned that she and her husband owned the park and ran it with their kids and some help from her in-laws. We enjoyed hearing how the family got to where they were today and how it was to live in Kenai.
We stayed here for 4 days in a class A, no problem getting into our site and they were level and spacious. The viewing deck is amazing and the resident eagle, wandering moose and herd of elk makes for some awesome photos.
Laundry and washrooms are spotless! The owners and their family are really special & go above and beyond to make sure your stay is perfect.
We love this rv park and perfect location to make your stay in the Kenai a great one........see you next year and thanks again for the fun time!
During our travels thru Alaska this was probably our favorite campground we stayed at. We stayed two separate times while traveling the Kenai peninsula area. The campground had great sites which they escorted you too. Part of the sites are near a road but there is a high privacy fence as a barrier. We all used the extremely clean bathroom. There are 4 separate rooms that are complete bathrooms for privacy. They had great pressure and hot water! We also used their laundry after seeing how clean they were. Since this is a ranch there are animals in pastures. We greatly enjoyed watching a bald eagle that was nested. Moose occasionally walked thru campground. The owners and his family and workers came by to make sure everything was ok, they were very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this campground.
Most expensive camping we found. Parked right next to the highway, crammed in, dirty sites (no gravel just dust and dirt). Washrooms are used by fishermen. This might have been a nice place at one time, but it sure had no appeal for us.
