What a wonderful destination! A mere 4 miles south of the Canadian border at Lake Christina, and just 20 miles north of Kettle Falls, WA proper, we were delighted to find such a pristine place to call home for a few days. gracious & helpful owners/hosts who have carved out a meticulous campground for we nature lovers. The park proper has ample space for RVs, and even more space for tent or dry camping. The grounds are groomed to perfection and most days you can hear both the running Kettle Falls River nearby, or the wind in the Pine tree tops above. And while the campground sits directly on HWY 395, it is remarkably quiet (probably because the highway doesn't get a lot of heavy traffic).
There are amenities galore: showers, laundry, restrooms, community center/gathering arena (which hosts an annual Blues Festival), perimeter path for dog walking, and more. Too, there is much to do nearby: hiking, horse-back riding, golf (at Lake Christina, just across the border) river rafting/kayaking, etc. If nature's your thing, you can't afford to miss this wee bit of heaven.
We'll definitely make a return trip. In the meantime, we'll tell everyone we know about this gem.
What a pleasant surprise! The owners are so friendly, the site we stayed in was perfect with full hookups. Our hose was too short, so the owner brought us a longer one to borrow. The showers and restrooms are immaculate. Nice trail to the river for swimming, floating or fishing. Would love to come back for a festival.
Part of the appeal for us was the out of the way location yet close to home. We did not plan on the amazing owners/hosts, the immaculate facilities, the privacy, and the amazing time we had! This campground is worth every penny. We will be going back for one of their music festivals soon.
They have some full hookup sites although the electric/water only sites have more shade they are closer to each other and to the more common areas. There are 2 nice tent areas as well. The bathrooms and showers are very clean and well kept! There are more amenities here than I could imagine needing. There is no playground for the kids and kids are not free, which is fine with us because or children are grown. However, they are extremely dog friendly!
