I had a hard time picking a rating. Some great positives but many negatives also. Things I liked: Park is in a rural setting on the shores of the NE end of Lake Lanier, a fantastic and restful setting. New facility with ALMOST all sites suitable for the largest Class A units. Park staff is very customer-focused. Large boat ramp and parking area adjacent to the campground. Good power and water. Things I didn't like: State of Georgia runs a central reservation system but, at least at this... Read More

Things I didn't like: State of Georgia runs a central reservation system but, at least at this park, neither they or the park assign specific sites I walked into the office, reviewed the map and list of theoretically open sites, and went looking for one I wanted. Depending on occupancy, you may be able to get an open pull thru site with satellite access or be backed in deep under the pine trees or stuck adjacent to the dump station. Not my favorite way of selecting sites with a tag axle and toad to do the searching in finding your site can make or break the whole experience. Like many parks, not designed by someone who has driven Class A coaches many turns are so tight you cannot stay on the paved roads. Relatively limited cable TV list.

Very nice park, on Lake but has trees between sites and water. A state park with two point hook ups plus cable hookup and gray water dump at site. All sites are large and quiet.
