Website and registration went so smoothly, that we were looking forward to staying here. We checked in by email on our way. Upon arrival, no one was in the office, so we drove around to our site. We were NOT impressed, we were so disappointed by the run-down campground that we left. Tent site was tiny and close to the algae covered swamp. There was a no trespassing sign right beside the tent sites. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The pool was nasty and the cabins looked like... Read More
Website and registration went so smoothly, that we were looking forward to staying here. We checked in by email on our way. Upon arrival, no one was in the office, so we drove around to our site. We were NOT impressed, we were so disappointed by the run-down campground that we left.
Tent site was tiny and close to the algae covered swamp. There was a no trespassing sign right beside the tent sites. It looked nothing like the pictures on the website. The pool was nasty and the cabins looked like tiny storage buildings. I never saw a little house. The surrounding areas, though privately owned, were run down as well and made the area seem unsafe. Gator golf had plants growing on the main building.
I would have just let this go, and assumed the campground had endured storm damage or something, but I didn't want other families to have the same dissatisfaction. It does not look safe. Don't bring your family here.

This was a great place. The owners had trouble with my email when i booked the site, so they texted me to confirm reservations. Once we got there, the office was closed (lunch time I'm guessing) we called the number and within minutes someone was there. He was very friendly. Even had brouchures to give us. The restrooms were clean. Pool was clean. Only complaint (very small one too) it would have been nice to have a list of tv channels. Definitely will be back for a mini vacation to get away from...
