This was a terrible experience. We booked six months in advance encouraged by the pictures of waterfront and the promise of “Picnic Tables and plenty of space at each site”. We booked the most expensive 50 amp thinking we would have a premium space. We are driving a 40-foot motor home with a tow car. When we arrived, we were directed up a very steep hill on the other side of Hwy. 101 and away from the water. We were told by the attendant that the sites were first come first served for RV Space... We were told by the attendant that the sites were first come first served for RV Space and he sent us up the hill with no assistance. We found three open spots and only one was big enough for a 40 foot at the back of this hilltop lot buried in trees with little room and no picnic table, no sun and the back of our RV buried in the bushes. We were told by the other RVers there that this happens all the time as all the good spots are occupied by people that book them all season. Do not book because of web marketing which does not tell the real story.

Don’t believe the pictures. Property is run down, past its prime. Access roads are in disrepair. Lot of potential here but that didn’t help us this weekend. Read other reviews more detailed than mine.

The place is no "resort" and is a dump with an exorbitant for one night with no full hookups. Sites are rough gravel and are not level. The road down from the highway could be an axle buster. We won't be back.

Overall this park was okay. All of the amenities were closed because of Covid. The part of the park we were in was down by the river which was nice however half the sites were not being used due to Covid. If all sites were being used, then the sites would be very tight. The boat ramp was essentially unusable during several hours around low tide due to the water being several feet out past the concrete. The access road down to the lower portion of the park was very steep and rough-take it very slow!! We... Read More

The park is less than an hour from Tillamook and Astoria.

I booked a site at this park because it is listed in Coast to Coast as a Premier level park. When we arrived the girl at the entrance told me to pick any site that was open and call a number to tell them which one we chose. The site only had 30 amp power and I had requested 50 amp when I made the reservation. She said that the only 50 amp was on the other side of the road and that Coast to Coast members could only use the 30 amp sites. Since it is cool we figured we could get by with 30amp ok.... We picked a site on the upper level and pulled in (all the sites are back-in) and set up since that gave us a view of the bay. We thought about leaving since the sites were not level, there were many unkempt rv's in the park and the grounds were poorly maintained. The grounds were messy and overgrown and the buildings were old and looked in disrepair. The next morning one of the staff came by and told us that we were hooked up to the wrong site. We told her that since the hookups were at the very end of the site that our cords and hoses would not reach the ones on the other side. We had pulled in to get the view of the bay. She told us that the sites are all back in and we would have to turn around anyway. We decided that with all the negatives we would find another park and did so. We will not return to this park and recommend others not go. The Coast to Coast rating should be Classic at the most

Located just off the 101, for easy access and right on the river estuary for fishing and crabbing. The lots are gravel and a bit overgrown. We didn't have much dealing with the staff, but the guy we dealt with was quirky, "Pick any site you want." The restrooms were clean and well maintained. This is a place that grew on us the longer we stayed, we were there 4 days.

I ignored the reviews I read, because I felt they may have just been people expecting to much. After staying there I felt I needed to add to them. While I was fortunate and found a end space, I observed the majority of spaces were very cramped. We went to the pool (on the other side of the highway and up a steep hill) The hot tub was closed. (common thing from what others told us) The pool was open but the water was pretty cold and it was filthy. The reason being, the water was 1' low and was below... Read More

How long does a large pool take to lose that much water? Seems like it had been a long time without anyone paying attention to it. Maybe if your an avid fisherman this might be a okay place to go. Other than that, we weren't impressed.

The best thing about this park is the waterfront location and the available fishing and crabbing. That's the end of the good things. This park is very old and has been very poorly maintained. The front row on the waterfront has only 30 amp power, and even that is very unreliable. Try and use an air conditioner and you quickly blow the power. The buildings on site are old and in poor shape. The park does have 2 swimming pools, so if you have kids and want to stay on the upper level it gives... Read More

The buildings on site are old and in poor shape. The park does have 2 swimming pools, so if you have kids and want to stay on the upper level it gives them something to do. Laundry facilities are terrible. The washers and dryers are very old and often don't work, and even if they did, they are not very clean. We went into town to do our laundry. About 2 years ago the park opened up to several outside memberships like coast to Coast and Resorts of Distinction. The result is you have many more campers vying for spots. During the time I was there I heard many stories of campers coming to the park thinking they had reservations only to be told they would have to stay in an overflow area - which is even in worse shape than the rest of the park. The parks current owners seem to be treating this park as a cash cow and are investing very little money back into the maintenance of the park. Unless you are really into fishing, and willing to put up with poor conditions, I can't recommend this park.

Will not stay at this park again. Has two sections on either side of the highway. The lower section is along the water front with exceptionally close sites. Stick your arm out the window, stick your neighbor in the eye. The upper section has large spacious sites, if available. Satellite not available in the vast majority of the park.
