Pets are welcomed, all kinds of camping is available from tents, trailers of all sizes, motor homes of all sizes with water & electric hookups. Laundry facilities are available as are showers. Clean, heated swimming pools & an enclosed spa are also open for campers. An old town village houses a variety of buildings with various labels that are used for the Clubhouse, where a kitchen serves up a menu that is varied daily, a Blacksmith shop that has electronic games set up and more. The campground has lots of western ambiance in its art, statues, buildings and campsites. There is a catch & release fishing lake for children, hiking trails, beautiful surroundings, wild life and more. We saw wild turkeys, grey, tree squirrels, frogs, a variety of insects and so on. It's a short drive to Placerville, where we shopped for items we needed. This city/town has historical significance due to its connection to the gold rush days. One part of the town is still vintage gold rush and the other is modern with the shops/stores you want to visit if you need something. We enjoyed our two week stay at the Ghost Mountain Ranch which included the friendly, helpful staff, the seclusion from city life, fellow campers, the club house with its free wifi, televisions (4), relaxing furniture, decor and game areas. It's a short drive also to South Lake Tahoe for boating, fishing and other water activities. This is a beautiful, northern California area that will leave you wishing you could stay longer. I recommend this facility to anyone interested in a relaxing, interesting and good time. Lots of things for children to do as well via the programs established for just those purposes. This facility was not crowded having everything we wanted for our first outing in our class A motor home. I should also mention a service this place provided Club members for free to drain their holding tanks instead of using an available dumping station. They call it the "Honey Wagon". It's available Monday, Wednesday and Friday. You just make an appointment with the gate house for service. Colorado River Adventures is proving to be a worthwhile investment for people traveling via camping in various ways across the U.S.

Won a free weekend. Spots are really close to eachother. Ghost town is really cool but it wasn't open the weekend we were there. Pool area was okay. Our spot was huge and nice though. If you are a membership person this is okay but if you do not purchase, the owner was not friendly after that point. It was too bad we might have told our friends to try it.
