This is a nice park. The spaces are spread out and there's plenty of shade. The view of the lake is great. The walking trails are nice. The restrooms are very clean. However, they don't enforce their rules. It's supposed to be 3 cars max on a campsite at night and there was one near us that had 9-10 cars for the entire weekend and all had parking passes. We were told that security gave them the passes, but didn't realize they were spending the night. The first night they were loud until about midnight.... Read More

The second night, they were screaming, yelling, and running in the space beside our campsite to the lake until 3 am. I tried calling security, even though I hate to do that, but got a machine. When I spoke with the office the next morning, they first insisted that security was on duty and patrolling the park at night. Finally someone in charge checked the log and saw that security went off duty at 11:30. They did apologize and refunded our money, so I'll give them another try at some point in the future.

Love the Texana side, it's more spread out, quieter, and calmer which is what we prefer. The Brackenridge side isn't bad, just a lot more events and traffic. It's good to have both right here so everyone can enjoy camping they way they like!

Thank you for the amazing review. We love being able to accommodate everyone who visits and stays at each of our Campgrounds!

Great campground, the folks who run the place are typical Texans, helpful, courteous, and most friendly. Plentiful wild life, including alligators, fishing can be outstanding at the right time of the year. Sites are spacious and shaded. Only drawback is mosquitoes during the warmer part of the year.

Thank you for the great review! Our staff works hard to maintain our Campgrounds to make every trip an enjoyable one!
