Lots of beautiful forest and hiking trails in the area but still close enough to the city if you want to drive down into Denver and explore there as well. Our site (24) was toward the back of the campground so we didn't hear a whole lot of road noise, but sites closer to the campground entrance could get a little noisier. The campground itself is fairly small but very pretty, dirt sites that are fairly level. The campground is situated on a slight hill so some of the sites are cut into the hillside... Read More

The campground is situated on a slight hill so some of the sites are cut into the hillside which is pretty cool. For the first time, we were able to make decent use of our WiFi booster as the campground has WiFi available. The only downside for us was that they charged $23 to use the dump station which is absolutely ridiculous - we opted to dump at the nearest Flying J. Only major downside (for us) is that campfires are strictly prohibited

A nice campground close to Denver. Some noise from I-70, but not too bad. The sites are clean and level, although dirt. We did not feel too crowded and the host are very nice to work with. The Rangers made frequent rounds throughout the day and everything is clean and neat. We loved this location as a great place to do our shakedown camping run in our new Rig - it even got down to 32, which was a bit of a surprise to us. Everything worked out great! Very guest unfriendly $23.00 to dump your sewer. They will not receive a package sent to me by mail. Owned by the City of Denver and they couldn't care less what you think, it won't affect their pay check one bit. Private enterprise can always do it better than government they have to actually please people before they get payed.
