Dash Point is a very nice, well appointed, state park. The lower loop is meant mostly for RVs and most sites have full or partial hookups. Most sites on the outside shoulder of the loop are curved driveway pull-thrus. The sites on the inside shoulder of the loop are all back ins. All drives are paved and site utilities are located very close to the edge of the drive. Campsites vary in overall size, privacy and quantity of vegetation and tree cover. All sites have a large picnic table and a fire pit, but the quality and design of the fire pit varies from site-to-site. The upper loop has dry camping sites, mostly for tent campers, although small trailers can fit in some of the campsites in the upper loops. Check with the park booking site for the specific capabilities of any given site. Restroom/bathhouse facilities are well maintained and in good condition. Showers are coin operated and a bill to token machine is located at the guardhouse at the park entrance. Facilities are not luxurious, but are modern enough. Beware, some site driveways have significant angle to them, so be prepared to use leveling blocks or other tools to get you rig level. I had site 44 which had a nice pull thru driveway, and super protected camp area, but also was at such a tremendous angle that I was never able to get the rig fully level, side-to-side. My beginning side-to-side angle was about 5 degrees and with the equipment I had was only able to get it down to about a degree or 2 of lean to the left. The neighboring sites were much more level, but had less protected and secluded campsites. You win some, you loose some. The main attraction at Dash Point is the beach. A trail leads down from the lower loop all the way to the beach. The park is bisected by state hwy 509, and the campground is across the highway and inland from the day use area, day use parking lot and the beach. There are many other trails and you can spend almost all of your time exploring at and around the park. As for other amenities, the park has cabins for rent. These appear to be pretty rustic. They have electricity and air conditioning, but no pluming. There is a small amphitheater located near the park entrance and between the lower loop and upper loop. It appears to be actively maintained by the park, but there were no programs or any groups using it during my stay. Tank dump station is on site and is $5 through an honor box. The station is inside the campground of the park and is not accessible directly from the road. Presumably you need to be a park guest to use the dump station, even with the extra fee.
