Stayed at this campground recently. The people who manage it were very nice. The campground has a nice view of Lake Champlain as it sits right on the lake. It is also has 50 amp service, which is hard to come by in the area. The big down side is no full hookups. The service to drain your tanks only comes once a week. There is a dump station on site but this requires you to break down your rig and pull over to the dump station and then set back up again. If you use the showers in the bath... Read More

If you use the showers in the bath house it will cost you a quarter as there is a meter. We encountered some bad smells one evening while camping which we think came from the nearby sewage treatment plant. Also train tracks run right alongside the campground which can be noisy at times. The entrance to the campground is tricky as its right below a blind hill. Pulling out we held our breath hoping nobody would come over the hill too fast. The town of Port Henry has seen better days...not much there to recommend it. Although there are many permanent sites at the campground, overall I would not stay here unless overnighting.
