This place is very large, over 100 sites I believe, that being said its BUSY. They have good shade and the sites with tent pads are nice sandy and good sized. The restrooms seem to clean and cared for, although they are small for the large size of the park. Everything worked but the internet was weak and didn't work all that great unless you are near the entrance. The Park is veiled in many, many rules. I was was chased down by the camp host and accused of not picking up after my dog. (which was... Read More

There are weekends they don't allow pets at all, so be sure to check with them on that if you travel with pets. There is no overflow parking. you have to pay to park in the public pay lot next to the campground. 10 dollars per day. They allow 4 people per site and its 10 dollars for each additional person. They give you a mowing and water schedule upon arrival, which is nice that way you know when to move things that may be in the way. you are pretty much right in town so you can walk to many things. On off season, spring, early summer or fall would be the best time to stay here.

We've stayed at various spots in the park the last three years during peak summer times. We have a condo that our kids' families max out so grandma and grandpa stay in the RV Park--much quieter at night. Water, sewer, elec, cable have always worked and the spots are average size. The majority of pads have tree shade in morning or afternoon. Northerly ends of rows are very close to restrooms so keep that in mind. The internet is misleading, as it's only available next to the office where you... Read More

The internet is misleading, as it's only available next to the office where you enter the park. The enployees are helpful for the most part, but this park is extremely busy during the summer as it is close to the lake and Lakeshore park. As in any public park there are those who push the noise limits. One summer we were next to a family with a big toyhauler that projected movies on the rear end of their rig. They couldn't start until 9PM, and so ran past the night noise restriction, but with so many children engrossed in Wreck It Ralph it was difficult to complain and so we didn't. The park is not elegant, but is a nice stop and conveniently located. They are currently implementing a new online reservation system that needs a lot of refinement.
