We had been here before and had a good stay, except for the goat-head stickers that get stuck in your shoes and tracked into your living spaces. (Bad for both humans and pets.) That is usual for the ocean, but it's a real pain. We enjoyed our previous stay, which was in a spot closest to the ocean. The spaces are just WAY too small to support a tent even there. But away from the ocean, the spaces are ridiculously too tight. On the third night of our stay, the managers came to tell us we were... Read More

That is usual for the ocean, but it's a real pain. We enjoyed our previous stay, which was in a spot closest to the ocean. The spaces are just WAY too small to support a tent even there. But away from the ocean, the spaces are ridiculously too tight. On the third night of our stay, the managers came to tell us we were not parked correctly! They repeatedly told us that our space was limited from the middle of one hookup box to the next hookup box. What? I have never heard that at any park we've ever been at before! So, they wanted us to move over 2-3 feet so the newcomer could park next to us. There was a tree branch 2 feet away from our rig, and our slides were already over hanging the other neighbors' grass. Grass, which by the way was only 4 feet wide at the most. The picnic tables barely fit. We couldn't even put out our chairs and enjoy sitting outside. Upon arriving (in two inches of water), the clerk told us we should take our car off the dolly and store the dolly in an area next to the Seaside Kitchen. So we did. Then one of the managers came along side of me as I was moving the car to our spot and told me I couldn't leave my dolly next to the Seaside Kitchen. He told me repeatedly (like 5 times) that it belonged to the rig across the road for them to park their extra vehicles. There were no signs or markers stating this. He told me where I could move it, so my husband and I did what he told us to do, and pushed it to a spot across from an "open" space. I questioned him about the numbers on the pavement, indicating they were tent sites, but he said they weren't tent sites. He also told me that "most" people back their rigs into their sites with their dollies behind them. That would have meant we would have to find another place to park our car. And there aren't any spots for that. We will not be going back to this park.

The good: It was a spot to stay with hookups. The bad: very small spots, back hookup location, not level, sticker plants everywhere that get in dog and people feet. But most of all extremely rude office person and manager. We asked if we could stay past check out time and were told yes with a $5/hour fee. So we left to go on with our day and got a call about 45 minutes after check out (over 2 hours after asking to stay later) saying they needed us to move out of our spot - we were out sightseeing,... We said we asked about this, this morning and arranged with you, they became very defensive and aggressive, no apology, nothing. We asked to speak with manager, again very defensive and refused so we ask that the manager be there when we got back and we would come and move. Manager is equally as defensive and saying "well she's new" still no real apology. All of this and more than 2/3rds of the park was empty. We will NOT be staying here again. There is no excuse to be rude, a mistake is a mistake we were very respectful and there was just no reason for it.

Facilities are very clean. Washrooms are quite a distance away, if you park near the beach. Managers need to soften up on their PR skills. Also, asked about Good Sam discount and was told they are not a member.
