We have been enjoying going to Catalina Spa for a few years. The park is very clean and the rv sites are nice and wide. The view of the snow capped mountains is breathtaking. We love the wide range of activities in the park: shuffleboard, corn hole, miniature golf, and the ever popular pickle ball. The bocce court is in dire need of remodeling. More people would play it if it was in better shape. The sand Court has multiple rocks that alter the path of the ball. The court is shared with gophers... Read More

We didn't use the campground restrooms. The people running the campground were friendly and helpful, but we were a little disappointed in the rest of the facilities. The website said the pools were open but when my wife went to the hot tub area she said the water was cold, then she saw a sign said it was not to be used. The swimming pool was a little warmer but needed some serious cleaning. We also had trouble with the electrical hookup at our assigned campsite and initially they said we must have... Read More

The swimming pool was a little warmer but needed some serious cleaning. We also had trouble with the electrical hookup at our assigned campsite and initially they said we must have trip the master breaker in the trailer. Turns out it was a problem with their equipment and they connected us to the electric box on a nearby unused site and everything worked fine. They actually wanted to move us to another site but my wife said no. I am a person with heart problems and the effort to move to another site would have been more than I could deal with as a lot of effort is necessary to set up the rig, then to undo everything and start over would have been more than I could have handled with any ease.

Original reservation put us in a site that was too small for our motor couch. This was resolved but was not updated in their system for several days which resulted in another camper arriving at our site to camp. I found out they had a recent software update for their computer system so I am hoping that was the reason for the confusion concerning our reservation which was made about 10 months in advance. That would be the only negative thing I can relate about stay. Lots of updates to the park.... Read More

Staff was very friendly and went out of their way to please. Nice variety of activities with a lot of participation and welcoming attitude. We took advantage of the free pickle ball lessons and found very nice Selkirk paddles in the camp store for the same price we found them on line. Again the people at the courts were very encouraging to new players. Loved the location in relation to how closed it was to Desert Hot Springs, Palm Desert and Palm Springs. Lots to do close by but far enough out to be quite and away from Highway noise. Truly a great find and one of the few RV parks we will visit again.

Our stay at Catalina Hot Springs and RV Resort was wonderful. Christina and her staff are outstanding. I cannot find words to thank them for all of their help, information and directions. We found the location central to visiting southern California. The resort and its amenities were so wonderful. The only issue is I hesitate to tell people how great this is because it could make it hard for me to find a spot next year. Thanks again to all at Catalina that made our stay so wonderful

Only complaint is WiFi. Do not buy it. It does not work for hours at a time and expensive. When it does work very slow. Otherwise a very nice resort.

Stayed 4 nights. This park has been recently remodeled and is very nice. The park personnel are friendly and helpful. Lots of sponsored activities. Community facilities are attractive and well maintained. Hot spa pool is big. New exercise room and equipment. Very clean including their dog park. It's away from the lights of the city, with spectacular starry nights, but has easy freeway access. All night security guard patrol. Great places to hike outside the park in the open desert setting.... Read More

We decided to give this park a try even though the recent reviews were not that good and are glad we did. The new owners are working hard and it shows. The new lower pool and spa opened just days before we arrived and is beautiful with a store, billiards room and gym with lots of new equipment. Our 30 amp site is on sand with a concrete patio. The sites are well defined with hedges on both sides. The office staff are friendly and helpful with any requests. There are many activities for those who... Read More

Located in a quiet area with no trains or highway noise. No free wifi, but we have our own.

You can tell the new owners are putting a lot of time and money into improving the park. The new pool and cafe/store was opening the following week after we had left but looked very very nice. The landscaping was non stop and very pretty. The upper pool and hot tub was huge area and the pool was very well kept. There are no pull through sites for rigs that wanted to stay for any period of time, as far as I could see there were only a few to be had by customers who only were staying a night or two.... There are no pull through sites for rigs that wanted to stay for any period of time, as far as I could see there were only a few to be had by customers who only were staying a night or two. We were in a 38' motorhome with a 24' trailer we tow. I requested a spot long enough on the phone at the time I reserved with one of the office girls and she made a note of that on our reservation and ended up in a spot that was only suitable for the motorhome because her note was disregarded.... I guess...... and had to put the trailer in their storage area for another 60.00 for the 2 weeks. They had organized meals and functions going on every night which were fun. The security there is great as we went on a cruise for a week and felt very comfortable leaving our rig. I think they are really putting forth a great effort and I am sure the improvements in the park will be much appreciated by their future customers.

Please note that only one pool is open, it randomly turns green. The closed pool is full of fetid water breeding mosquitoes. Staff is rude, unprofessional, highly inappropriate. No waste receptacles in dog park. Poor trash services. No recycling. WIFI--uh-NO. Absolutely the worst imaginable experience, pending police report

New owners who promise heaven on earth but deliver hell. An old park with years of deferred maintenance. A membership park with only a few members who cared about the park in the past but have given up their memberships and moved to other rv parks in the area. Prices keep going up and up every few months. If you are looking for mineral hot springs try another park in Desert Hot Springs.
