This is a beautiful campground. Spacious sites and beautiful mountain views. It's about 15 miles from downtown but all shopping is very close by. The best gourmet Mexican restaurant in the US is in Tucson. It's called Cafe Poca Cosa. Unfortunately it is closed on Sun. and Mon. so we didn't get to go this time. I would definitely return to Catalina SP

Great state park tucked into the Catalina Mountains. Very spacious sites. Water/Electric only, but, as of Dec, 1, 2015 all sites have 30/50 A service. Beautiful hiking trails from easy to strenuous. Very quiet, but less than 2 miles from a Walmart.
