This is a beautiful campground. Spacious sites and beautiful mountain views. It's about 15 miles from downtown but all shopping is very close by. The best gourmet Mexican restaurant in the US is in Tucson. It's called Cafe Poca Cosa. Unfortunately it is closed on Sun. and Mon. so we didn't get to go this time. I would definitely return to Catalina SP

This is an all around nice park for all forms of camping. The sites are well spaced and maintained, and even the host was friendly and helpful. Surprisingly, there is a huge mall across the highway for all of your needs. Although we only took short hikes with our dogs, it is obvious that this is a popular hiking location; the surroundings are breathtaking. The only negative report, which didn't affect us, is that the showers at campground A were temporarily closed for an unknown reason. I highly recommend this park.

Great state park tucked into the Catalina Mountains. Very spacious sites. Water/Electric only, but, as of Dec, 1, 2015 all sites have 30/50 A service. Beautiful hiking trails from easy to strenuous. Very quiet, but less than 2 miles from a Walmart.
