Very large campground with several small camping loops. Most sites are well separated. Lots of beach access including some vehicle access. Small fresh water lake in park. Lots of paved bicycle trails. We enjoyed the viewing tower overlooking the Columbia River and the Pacific Ocean meeting. Watched a couple of cargo ships pass by. Enjoyed the military history of the area also. Nice little museum. Shopping about 10 miles away.

Nice sites with privacy. Not a lot of grass in the individual sites as they are mostly amongst the trees and not a lot of sunshine. This park was everything we've about Oregon State Parks! Nice trail system, excellent maps available, extremely well organized and clean trash/recycling area. We will definitely be back!

5 5 out of 5 stars 10/07/2015

The gem of Pacific Northwest coastal parks, huge but doesn't feel like it. Campsites are spacious, facilities well maintained and the grounds are green and forested. Great park for bikes with miles of paved trails. Historical interest for both Lewis and Clark sites and the Columbia River Bar. Maritime Museum in Astoria is well done. Weather is often wet, storms can be fierce - plan ahead. No Wi-fi and poor cell reception if that's important to you.
