Stayed here for two nights. Called ahead and nice gentlemen put a reserve sticker on our site. Site has power, pavement pad and backed up to Mississippi river with great view of Tug boats pushing barges up and down river. Train only came by twice so it isn't to bad. Water was off this time of year. This is a nice park, well kept and another testiment to the quality of Missouri state parks.

Large state park with hiking trails, view of the River, informative Visitors Center and clean camp grounds. The full hook up sites do back to the river and railroad tracks, so if you are a light sleeper, you may not enjoy this location, but if you don't mind the occasional blast of the train horn, you do get a great view of the river with its barge traffic. Fun to watch. Nice fire pits. Camp host very friendly. And very close to Cape Girardeau which is home to South East Missouri State Universty,... Read More

And very close to Cape Girardeau which is home to South East Missouri State Universty, historical homes, main street shopping, dining and night life. There is also a section for basic and tent camping. There is a lake nearby also. Worth a stop. Very nice little camp ground.
