This is really a great campground and I hope to stay here again. The owners were very friendly at check in. As others have mentioned, they gave me 2 homemade muffins at check in. As I was alone she said that I could have one muffin that evening and one for breakfast. Hah, they didn't last 5 minutes once I got in my RV they were that good. The grounds are like a large park and appear to be very well maintained. Most of the sites are not shaded but there are plenty of trees and large, grassy areas around and park benches and a small pond. Very pleasant atmosphere. The sites are level and grass is between each site. The bathroom was spotlessly clean. It is a short, easy drive off of the interstate but little or no noise from the highway. A great place to stop!
Stayed here overnight on a long haul. What a gem. Very open, clean and easily accessible campground. Plenty of room to exercise fur babies. There is a pond with a small boat available for use. Upon arrival, we checked in at the office which was clean and organized. Our Hostess even provided us a couple of delicious muffins. How's that for hospitality? Our Host escorted us to our site and got us perfectly lined up with utilities and offered additional assistance. Very kind. Great Satellite reception. Great WiFi reception. Our site was level and clean. I can't say enough about what a warm reception and great stay we had even though it was just overnight. If you're traveling I-80, this is a perfect place to stay. This is now on our, "Must Stay" list when traveling this route. Thanks Prairie Oasis for a warm welcoming and perfect nights rest.
Very friendly staff. There are free padde boats and a horseshoe pit. The site are very close together and set up more for motorhomes and 5th wheel. Because my utilites are at the back I could not reach the sewer and my water hose was at its limit too if I wanted to be fairly level.
The mens washroom was spotless but we were unable to assess the womens washroom due to some camper’s children who trashed it and it was closed for cleaning. The parents denied their darling children would do such a thing even when caught red handed by the owner. Too bad Goodsam doesn’t have a system to notify eachother about abusers like these and deny them access to all Goodsam campgrounds.
Overall a nice place to park for the night.
This is a great campground just off I-80. Very nice layout. Sites are a good size and have a picnic table and fire pit. Firewood is available. The pads are gravel and plenty of grass. There are also a number of trees for shade. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The bathrooms and showers have been recently renovated and are in great shape. Some highway noise but not bad. We really enjoyed our stay and will stop again. WiFi was very good. No problem getting a satellite signal. A couple of OTA channels available.
We stayed here for the total solar eclipse. We were welcomed by the owners and escorted to our site. Very reasonable price for being in the path of totality. We had a awesome time viewing the eclipse here.
Grounds were well kept. Right off I-80 but quiet. We would definitely stay there if we happen to pass that way again.
Storm shelter is available on site.
We stayed for one night and it was great! The staff was so friendly, the facility was immaculate, and the site was perfect. After a long day driving my kids loved the paddle boats and playground. I can't say enough about this campground!
We just spent a night on our way from Colorado to Iowa, but chose to spend another night on our way home. The owners were super nice and helpful. One night, they gave us two homemade muffins and offered to give us a little firewood. There is a lovely little pond with swings near it for adults and children as well. The owners are super dog-friendly. It is right near the highway which is great for access, but also a tad noisy, which one must expect. This campground and its owners is just excellent!
Please don’t t miss stopping at this delightful campground, “Prairie Oasis”.
The very long gravel, level, FHU pull thru sites have two convenient sewer connections. The campground itself is surrounded by a variety of beautiful trees and includes a lovely fishing pond with free paddle-boats for guests to enjoy.
Wifi is excellent as are the ultra-clean washroom facilities. Family parties and groups are also welcomed and have their own room for get-togethers. (see their web page for details, other amenities and places to visit).
The owners are generous, hard-working, continually improving their campground and welcome visitors with home-made goodies.
This is our third or fourth visit here and we’ll return whenever possible. We highly recommend it to others.
We stayed in May for six nights.
Tips: It is some miles from the nearest shops so bring provisions. Apart from the office shop with food, rv supplies and crafts, there is a truck stop immediately over the I-80 bridge towards Henderson with extra items. We really enjoyed touring the Mennonite Heritage Center near the town, which was well worth a visit. Also had an amazing Sunday buffet at “Chances R” in York.
I really liked the laid back atmosphere at this campground. They were busy but it didn't seem like it which meant for a very relaxing stay. I had my four dogs with us and they were just as welcomed as we were which is very important to me.
