Stayed for 4 nights, and had a later arrival. The grounds were really nice, had a camping type feel. We were on the exit road, and was happy to see that people were not speeding down the road as they left. We had a full hookup back in site, and there was plenty of room for my 38 ft. TT with three slides. Several seasonal campers and all were very pleasant that we met. We are local and still went to work daily. I work remotely and had no issues connecting to Verizon VPN. My daughter is attending school virtually and only had a few connection issues but was fine once she went outside during those times. We will definitely be back!

Facility should never have been rated 9 star. Maybe many years ago. We spent over 2 weeks at campground, after weekend could not flush toilets in rest room. I would never use showers.Good sam needs to revisit an do it in the hight of season. They weren't going to offer good Sam's discount because they were in season. Would no ever recommend it revisit this campground.

We needed a place close to home to test out our air conditioning and sewer after having problems with the air not working at another large resort campground near avalon nj that we stayed at two week prior ( see my other review) Tip tam is 30 minutes away and although I was not excited about remaining local I decided to try it figuring that if my air was not working i could just go home. We arrived at this hidden gem and were greeted like long lost friends. The gentleman at the front desk, whose name I wish I had gotten, could not have been more welcoming. He drove us right to our site, which was level , clean and huge..All of the sites had more space than I have seen in most large resort campgrounds. I Plugged in to electric ( i always use one of those gizmos that checks the polarity) and my air started right up. I plugged in my backup electric cord and again it started right up so I know that the problem i had at that other large resort campground was their fault, not mine. The hookups were perfect here. What you should know about this place is that it is a well run, down to earth, clean, nice facility that believes in customer service, has everything you need, 2 pools, both right next to each other and the same depth, activities each weekend, some mini golf and basketball and baseball fields and even a place to race your remote control cars.I felt like I could have been in the middle of maine surrounded by tall trees instead of jackson, nj. The camp store is adequately stocked with the basic necessities plus all the goodies kids young and old alike need. (and a slushie machine) The grocery store (stop and shop) is maybe two or three miles away (someone in an earlier review clearly did not know where they were going). This is a place where you might camp from out of town to go to Six Flags and also take advantage of the Jersey shore which is about 25 minutes away, maybe less. For me, it was an amazing place to sit outside, chill out and just relax. Oh...as for customer service...I bought firewood...due to all the recent rain it was not lighting even though it looked dry....I had a refund in my hand faster than you can blink an eye with a smile all the way. If you are using the bathroom facilities, which we didn't other than to wash our hands and you need fancy granite countertops than you will be disappointed. The facilities were clean and like everything there, has that real down to earth camping feel and I was nostalgic for my days at sleepaway camp up in the adirondacks. I absolutely cannot wait to get back to this little gem near my house in the fall to make that campfire and I'm excited to know that if I need a quick overnight when I get housebound it's only 30 minutes away.

Overall the place was ok. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I will admit, this is the end of their season, but the facilities, specifically the bathroom and showers still need regular maintenance and seem not to be getting it. The campground sits on sand, so be prepared for that. The natural tree growth is nice. Note also this campground is probably 80% seasonals so don't expect prime real estates for the dailies.

Hard to find campgrounds in NJ so we tried this one. Upon check in we were told we could not walk our dogs ANYWHERE but on our site. Not even on the road. This is ludicrous. Owner was sympathetic but there are mostly seasonal residents and few daily/weekly guests and there was not much she could do. Will not stay here again. Good cable, wifi. If not for dog walking would give it a 3 star rating as it is adequate.

Absolutely horrible. The place was a giant dust bowl. You could not tell where the roads were vs the campsites, yes NJ is dry but there wasn't a blade of grass or even moss anywhere, it had nothing to do with being dry. Staff was nice, but we were told they allowed pets but we could not walk our dog. Our tiny dog was only allowed on our site. We got out of there as fast as we could, and was willing to lose our money.
