My wife and I stayed here for 5 nights with friends. We all had separate sites, we had site 54. Site was level side to side and was long enough for our 34' 5th wheel and truck with no problem. Electrical power was clean and stable. Water pressure never lowered during the Labor Day holiday weekend (the park was sold out). The park is quite, that is one reason we enjoy it. There were children having fun all weekend long, it was a joy to see them having fun. The ponds had numerous campers fishing... Read More

There were children having fun all weekend long, it was a joy to see them having fun. The ponds had numerous campers fishing for fun and catch. Two ponds are catch & release and the third pond has Catfish you can eat... if you catch one. It was relaxing watching the fish take everyone's bait. The staff was friendly and required masks when coming into the Camp Store. The pool was open, with social distancing, and the children had a terrific time in the pool. The pool was clean and well kept. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked to provide hand sanitation. If you are planning on being around the Powhatan area, consider Cozy Acres, it is a Gem of a Campground. Thanks to the Daniel Family and staff for allowing us to have a relaxing and wonderful time in your park. We'll be back next year.

We stopped by three weeks prior and made our reservation. Lady in store super nice. Ended up arriving late on Thursday , called they left gate key for us, also asked about golf cart on the phone "yes we do $45 a day". So we didn't load ours up in the rain and bring it. Store only open 12 to 5. But went up around 1 next day to officially check in no golf carts reserved for the weekend. Saturday our daughter asked in store is anyone who can help pump up bike tires, we left bike pump at home, Nope.... Read More

Really you have a work shop, golf carts you rent..... but don't have anyone maintenance who can help a child with her bike. Literally only takes couple minutes. Sunday stopped by store for Ice..... Our daughter asked about a golf cart. We are still here one more night why not. Nope two day minimum. Quiet and peaceful. Campers nice. But not accommodating like other campgrounds we have stayed at before.

Spent an amazing weekend relaxing on our first trip in our "new to us" Class C RV at Cozy Acres. BEST decision we could have made. The staff is SO nice. Check in was a breeze. When we realized we forgot dish soap...no problem...they had it at the store (and plenty more items one may need!). Got a chance to get to know one of the owners as he is very involved in the running of the camp. He makes sure everything in the camp is cared for. This gives them exceptional customer service. Can't wait for Virginia to move to less restrictive COVID phases so they are allowed to open the pool, clubhouse and other amenities (can't hold it against them they have to keep them closed during a pandemic). Our site was beautiful, had everything we needed (water, electric, sewer, picnic table and fire pit). The entire park is beautiful. Lots of people riding their bikes, taking walks, walking their dogs, sitting around their fire pits or fishing at one of the multiple catch & release ponds. There are folks who "live" at this park. However, they have it designed in such as way that the monthly rentals are in one section and those coming for a week/weekend are in another. We have our own wireless hotspot so no need for park WiFi. Was nice to get away for the weekend, relax and enjoy the camp. Will be returning for sure!

We have been going there on and off for over 20 years and always had nothing but the best time. It's just a nice place to get away from it all, a little fishing, a little easy hiking and just laying back and chilling. The staff is just the friendliest family owned place we have been to.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 days on our first trip in our new 5th wheel. We stayed here with 2 other couples that had Toy Haulers. I had site 53, a large pull-through site terrific choice, easy to get into and out of. Site 53 is a 50A site with full hook-up. The site was not level but it was close, we used our Anderson Leveling blocks on the left side and used the Landing Gear for front-to-rear. There is plenty of room between sites. The campground is the home of 2 bulls that feed all through the day. Our 2 dogs, small terriers, were amazed at the size of the bull. The campground has 2 ponds to fish, we saw campers fishing in both throughout our stay. They have a few areas for children to play and a pool. We did notice their were an abundance of dogs walking their owners we really enjoyed meeting the other dogs on our walks. The campground is quite, we enjoyed the lack of sound. The staff was friendly and the camping store is full of items to keep your attention. They have items from periods throughout the years that allow you to "remember when...". The bathrooms were dated but they were clean and well lit. Our time here went by too fast, we will be back. If you are in the area of Powhatan, consider Cozy Acres, I think you'll like it.

Pricing is on the high side, starting at $50 per night plus taxes. Fees are higher on special event weekends. They do have some amenities, but all the additional fees are extremely annoying - example pool is free but you have to pay $4 per day if per lounge chair. They seem to have additional fees for almost everything, more than 2 adults or children per site, visitors, etc.. - so be sure to call and get accurate pricing for your group to avoid surprise billing. Wi-Fi is also additional charge... Read More

This day and age there are so many ways to have great Wi-Fi coverage over a large area that are not expensive.

Thank you so much for taking the time to review our campground. We appreciate all feedback we get and are always open to ways we can improve our campground. We would like to address some of the fee comments. Like most people in the recreational business, we do raise our rates slightly for the holidays and special events, our rates go up 4.00 per day. We do what we can to keep our rates competitive with other campgrounds and keep them as low as we can so our families can come and enjoy our park.... Read More

We have not in the past charged for WiFi and at this time still don't. Yes, it is only available up near our store, however we have looked into other options and for our area there are not a lot of options due to our location. As soon as they become available we will definitely look into them. Again, we appreciate your feedback and hope you will come visit us again. Thank you!

We visited Cozy Acres, which is very close to home, for our shake-down trip before taking a two-week trip to Michigan. This was our first visit to Cozy Acres. It is a well-maintained, family-owned campground. We had a super site that was long enough to pull our 42-foot coach and tow vehicle off the access road without disconnecting. Having a stone patio was a plus. The site we had provided a very nice view of the meadow. There is a well-stocked store with staff who are very friendly, well-organized... Read More

The campground has plenty of trees on the sites. Children would have a great time in the playground area. The only negative (because of the dry weather conditions in this area of Virginia) was the amount of dust caused by vehicles on the access roads could use more gravel. We plan to visit Cozy Acres a couple more times this summer since it is close to Richmond. Would definitely recommend this campground.

Ladies in the store extremely friendly, and the store is very nice. The campground is nice and well kept. We were in a low spot the turned into a muddy mess. My biggest disappoint was having to pay $5 per person for having a local couple visit for 2 hours. The swimming pool was not open, and in fact was under constuction. I paid the $10 fee when they arrived, but was still spoken to sternly by a guy in a truck for not making arrangements ahead of time. The visitor were not 100% sure they were coming.... Read More

Not sure what they got for the $10, and the attitude did not make for happy camping.

Great family run camp ground. Grounds are well maintained. Site was nice and level, brick patio was very nice. Sites were a bit close, but we didn't feel like we were on top of our neighbors. Stayed Labor Day weekend and the park was full and a bit busy, but under control. Plenty of events for all ages. Pool is nice. Bathrooms were clean, just dated. Stalls are really small. Store is well stocked and staff are very friendly. We will return

Great place. Arrived after hours but gate key and information packet were there for us. Checked in the next morning and they were very helpful and nice. Great little snack area for sandwiches right by the pool. Grounds are very well maintained and clean. our spot was very easy to back into. Plenty of area to walk our dogs. Didn't need to use the restroom facilities but looked and they were spotless. Owners stopped and talked to us and they are great. Stayed 3 nights and loved it. Beautiful location... Read More

Very quiet campground. Sites are close but not on top of each other with gravel pads and brick paver patio. Picnic table and burn ring are also on each site but some have a covered patio. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. The store had the basics and rv parts, which I needed. They just opened up on the day we arrived so not everything was opened. The only downfall was I don't think there was any fish in the ponds. All in all I will return to cozy acres any chance I get

Great place! Family owned with a unique character. They have about 125 camp sites - large enough to offer good amenities but not too large. Did their Halloween weekend. Well organized and fun. Great lakeside Deluxe Motorhome sites. Highly recommend!
