This is a very nice stop with a great lake with swimming docks. We didn't use the restrooms thus no rating there. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Our second visit. We wanted to visit the Talladega Speedway and this is the only full-time park we were aware of. Most of the `Resort' is filled with long-term residents. Trailers are in various states of repair/disrepair and surrounded by all the residents' belongings that would not fit in or under the units. The biggest draw is the lake and fishing, it appears. The restrooms inside the park have an unacceptable odor and many of the short-term sites are near those restrooms. Many of the other... Read More

In the laundry room (also in that building), only one or two of the washers and dryers are in working order. The staff is helpful - after they have finished checking in all the boaters or answering questions of the long-term residents. We were told to go pick out our site (they gave a map and pointed out the sites we could pick from) and call when we had made our selection. The park is apparently under new ownership and we got the impression from conversations that attempts may be underway to reduce the long-term population by changing the monthly payment policy. We would not return.

This was our second time staying in this park. It is a large park with close to 200 sites. Many of the sites are full timers but they are kept up pretty well. It is easy access into the park and also in the park. You check in at the gas station which has your basic needs. Check in was fast and friendly. We were in Site 4, a gravel pull through with full hook-ups, no issues and 50 amp electric. The site was just long enough for our 37-foot Class A, tow-dolly and parking the car and about average... There is also storage next to the park. Plenty of places to walk the dog. Laundry room was good. WiFi was good as was our Verizon signal. We stayed December 6 - 13, 2017 and paid $29.70 a night with our Good Sam discount.

A good appearing campground with trees and next to a large lake with boating access. Good sites and pleasant operators. Only downside for me were the showers. The controls are a push button affair that turns off immediately without any opportunity to enjoy a warm shower. Need to keep the push button pushed in to get the water. I applaud the site for its conserving water measures, but the push button needs top have a slow off (timer) function so one can enjoy a shower without having to hold the... Read More

This is a large park (200+ sites) and they do not take reservations unless there is a race in Talladega. You check in at the gas station which has a well stocked convenience store. The roads are easy to navigate in and out. We stayed March 6-13, 2017. We were in site #4 which is right next to the parking lot for the boat ramp so there was a little car noise but not bad. The site was gravel and very level. It was just long enough for our 37-foot class A, tow-dolly and parking the car. There is a... Read More

Hooks up were all easy to get to and use, water pressure was good. The lake views are pretty and the park is quiet. WiFi was fair and our Verizon signal was good. We paid $30.69 a night with our Good Sam Discount.

Stayed for ten days right next to the lake (spot 187) and loved it! Wonderful place to relax and unwind - the fishing was ok also and yes, we can't wait to return. We did read some of the other reviews and were cautious but no problems at all with facility or people. Enjoy!

Site was level, good store, nice lake. Only issue was poor WiFi. Kept going in and out while being used.

We were lucky to get into this park. It is a beautiful location on Lake Martin. There are lots of trees. The bath house was clean. The office staff does work the convenience store as well, but they are very friendly and helpful. The gravel sites were, for the most part, level. This is very much a family friendly campground. We only stayed here one night, but would definitely come back here again and stay longer.

Stayed 2 nights in late March. Gravel pads, decent wifi. Check in very friendly and helpful. Easy access. Pull thru lot easy to maneuver . Had a great view of lake but not lakefront price.

We arrived late afternoon near 5 PM. Park was difficult to find because road signs were small and traffic was fast paced. Entry once found was well marked and office check-in was handled by a single staff who was busy with a retail convenience store. She was quick and efficient but very busy. We were assigned a spot only to find the entire area was already taken by several other campers. A phone call gave us instructions to "find" a spot and call back and give them the location. We were driving... Read More

We were assigned a spot only to find the entire area was already taken by several other campers. A phone call gave us instructions to "find" a spot and call back and give them the location. We were driving a 42 foot class A towing a 25 foot car hauling trailer. We parked and then looked for the restaurant which turned out to be a package of hot dogs from the only open source. The retail convenience store. It is a nice park with much to offer but if your afoot don't expect to find food easily available. There is no diner or restaurant open on site as of this time!
