This WAS a premier RV resort in Bend, but Sun RV Resorts bought it in 2019 or 2020 and it is in bad shape. The RV pad pavers are full of overgrown weeds, the lawns are not mowed for weeks and the sprinkler systems weren't working properly. The bathrooms A/C was not working and the hot tub was "out of order" since 2020. Sadly, this is a beautiful RV park, but for $90 per night the conditions need to improve. For the last 20+ years when I called to book my reservation, I have spoken to a clerk at the resort's front desk who is familiar with the sites. I requested to be in the back section (not next to Brosterhaus Road which has high traffic noise). When we arrived, we were told a site number next to Brosterhaus and they didn't have a note about our request. I was told they have a reservation service and this was not noted by them. The front desk did inform me I could pay an additional $25 to reserve a specific site. Lastly, the property on the north of the resort is privately held and up for sale so big rigs can no longer turn around there. You must drive your rig in the $129 sites which if I paid that much I wouldn't appreciate all the traffic driving around our sites.

Very upscale RV resort south of downtown Bend. Study a map before you drive through the surrounding residential neighborhoods to find this hidden gem. Our GPS dropped us off about a mile from the RV park in a residential area. Once you find it, you'll see that the park is beautiful with lots of large pine trees and grass. There is a large off-leash dog park available. Our site had full hook ups. We parked on pavers that were far from level. It required 4 inches of correction to level our... Read More

The pine trees continually dropped huge pine cones on us during our stay that startled us each time they thumped on our roof top. (We did "harvest" a bunch of them to become Christmas decorations back home!) Beautiful place! However, at $85/ night I couldn't rate it a "5" because it's just too expensive and there isn't any scenery visible from this "in-town" park. Bend is overly expensive and in-town camping isn't my "cup-of-tea". Other than that, it's a great place that will appeal to many others.

First the good news. The lady at the desk for checking was very nice and handled this old grumpy guy well. The park is what some would call very nice, with spacious level paved spaces and lots of room. Now the down sides.. Our GSP took us to the address and it was maybe a mile away from the site. Tried to call for help on the 888 number and it sent me to some call center that I was never ever to connect to anyone... left a message and asked for help and left my #. It's been 5 hours and still... Read More

It's been 5 hours and still no return call. Finally used my phone and discovered it was a mile up the road to the north. Traveled north and saw a railroad bridge with limited clearance (12'8"?). I made it but by maybe an inch! Arriving at the park, there were no signs that faced our direction and entering the park it said to make sure you register at the office before you park, again with no indication as to where the office is. Hey, I finally figured it out be really?

What a wonderful place to "land" after a long day of driving! So clean and beautiful. It was such a breath of fresh air to stay at this park. It is so nicely landscaped and spacious. It is also close enough to easily bike to the city of Bend. We stayed during the pandemic, yet they were very respectful of social distancing and gave us a packet with masks, hand sanitizer and wipes. We will indeed be coming again and again.

Great Park with decent spacing between sites. The check in process was the easiest I have experienced. Price is high, but so are all of the other parks in Bend, and this appears to be the best of the bunch. The park seems to cater to retired couples driving 40 foot motorhomes and big 5th wheels. We felt small in out 24 foot trailer. We did not see a lot of families, most of the residents are seniors. We did enjoy talking with everyone we met and all of the staff were very friendly. The only down side was road noise from cars speeding down the nearby street at night. I'm not sure if this is typical or if we just had some kids racing by at night. During the day traffic seemed fairly light. Dogs are very welcome here. The dog run is okay. It does not seem as nice as the rest of the park but is adequate. The rest of the grounds are very nice. We would recommend this park and will stay here again.

We've camped all over the United States over the past 25 years and this is the nicest campground I believe I have ever seen. The lot size is the largest, most level, well maintained, and all around beautiful. This is definitely a resort if you plan to use the facilities the price is well worth it. If you are just looking for a place to park for the night it may be a little much.

The resort is lovely. We had a gold space which is spacious and has a storage space and a nice, level site with pavers. The folks at the registrtation desk are friendlly and helpful. Negatives: Overrpriced No discounts for AARP, AAA, or Good Sam. Only one restroom/shower facility for the entire resort.

We had a great three day stay at this beautiful RV park. Lots of big trees and grass areas made it a very inviting place. Easy to register and a friendly staff got the visit off to a great start. Utilities and hook-ups were great - and we especially appreciated the small storage shed at the back of the "platinum" sites. Bathrooms were clean as was the entire park. Located south of downtown, it is in a nice residential area close to Walmart and grocery stores. Not far off the highway. Highly recommend Read More

Crown Villa is a true RV resort. The sites are very large with wide grass areas between the sites. The park has great amenities that are all new and clean. See our full review and pictures on our blog at www.thegilliamsisland.com

On a two week trip through CA, OR, ID and MT, this was the nicest park we visited. The sites are huge, the setting was like a country club. There was an off leash area for the dog, excellent wifi, a spa, peace and quiet. We arrived after the office was closed for the evening but we were able to choose a site and self register. Lovely place!

We went on a 2 weeks trek and this was the best resort we stayed at out of 7 resorts. Very nice first class resort

In our short, 3 years of RVing, this may be the nicest park we've stayed at. We loved the wide spaces, the huge pine trees, the green grass, and most of all, the weather! We stayed in July, and the temps were in the low 80s every day. The wi-fi worked well, which is very important to me because I work from my motorhome. We would definitely come back here again if we come back to Bend, Oregon.

A beautiful park with very wide spaces, good cable and WIFI access. It has a large fenced dog park and wonderful amenities for its guests. I don't believe they are as attentive to maintenance now as they have been in the past. While in a drought, the sprinklers came on every night and some areas stayed on for 24 hours straight without anyone checking on the problem. The staff is very friendly and the park is in excellent condition, just wish they were handling some things as well as they have in... Read More

We stayed for two nights while visiting the Cascade Lakes area around Bend. When we arrived, the night host told us that the water wasn't working at our full hook-up site. When we enquired about it the next morning, the staff said it was OK and this was a mistake. Nevertheless, we asked for a different site and everything worked there. The restrooms were clean, but only had two shower stalls, and one of them was not working. When I enquired at the desk, the staff told me that the shower would be... Read More

They said I could use the restrooms that were in the office building to avoid morning line-ups. These had two shower stalls, but no private dressing area, just a shower with a curtain. For the size of the RV park, there are not enough showers. The sites and setting are beautiful, but service and maintenance were lacking.

Overall, this is a nice park but to call it a resort is a matter of opinion. We had a platinum site so I don't know if my comments apply to all sites. (And to be honest, I don't understand what all the levels even mean.) As others have mentioned, the sites are built with pavers and include a small shed in back. Our site was plenty long and wide enough for our 45 foot motorhome. The weird thing is they won't let you park your car on the pavers but a 47,000 lb motorhome is okay. There are various... Our site was plenty long and wide enough for our 45 foot motorhome. The weird thing is they won't let you park your car on the pavers but a 47,000 lb motorhome is okay. There are various parking areas in the park but they are not assigned. There was one parking site between us and our neighbor, and it became a quiet challenge to see who could snag it first. They don't mention this at check-in, but you put your garbage in the trash bin on your site, and it is picked up on certain days. Again, as others mentioned the cable has issues and the hot tub was out of commission. Due to trees, our satellite couldn't find a signal either. The front desk staff are okay but obviously bored with their job. Their answers are short and to the point. We paid for extra nights and still received a knock on our door the next morning asking why we hadn't left. I think it is overpriced but it's the nicest park in Bend. I think they are well aware of that and use it to their advantage.
