Very easy layout to navigate and park. Sites are decently sized and spaced and the campground is very nice looking and clean. Restrooms are decent and the dump/water station at the end is fairly convenient. Only real downside to the location is you have to leave your site, loop out of and back into the campground to get to the dump/water station, and then loop out and back in again to get back to your site. But since the loop isn't very big it's really a fairly minor thing to complain about. Most... Read More

Most of the sites are pretty open so if you have Starlink or satellite TV/internet you should have a clear, unobstructed view of the sky (my Starlink RV dish had 0% obstruction and constant signal.) The electric boxes are at or near the rear of the gravel pads making for easy hookups and the tables and fire pits are to the passenger side so they should be out the door of most RVs and campers. Overall a well laid out, well maintained campground and for $20/night an amazing value.

Nice campground by the COE below Saylorville Lake Dam. Seems fishing right below the spillway is a popular activity. Access to the Neil Smith Trail (running and Biking) is on the east edge of the campground. Note: The Neil Smith Trail runs north from the campground about 20 miles and south on into Des Moines where it connects to numerous trails around the area.
