We stayed 1 night on both our way to Tn. and again on our way home . We had Premium Patio sites on both occasions for the proximity to the dog park. Base on the photos ion the website I wasn't expecting much but for a 1 night stay, within our daily travel limits ( we try not to travel more than 300 to 350 miles a day) The staff at the reception desk couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. Our escort to our site on both occasions did everything in their power to make sure we were happy with our set up and positioning. The sites are far nicer than the photos on their website show. I did a walk around the grounds and found the sites at all levels to be very spacious and well maintained. The comfort stations and rest rooms likewise were clean and well maintained. The proximity to I-81 both North and Sound bound made the highway highly accessible. i only heard the traffic on it when I walked our dogs late at night We have every intention to stay here again and have recommend it to friends that often travel I-81 to visit family . I snuck a look in one of the cabins and their son would love it. Thee 2 zoo's and Historical sites make it worth an extra few days for us.

Stayed one night on our way to Texas. We got there around 11pm on Saturday. Our reservation paperwork was in the night slots, we found our site easily as well. It was a tight squeeze, but it was fairly level, only a little off. Site was just barely big enough for my 33' trailer and truck to fit on it. In the morning before packing up, we found the restrooms to be clean and maintained, the staff was friendly, and the store was well stocked. We'd definitely stay here again if in the area.

It was very quiet even though it was close to freeway. (Could not hear any traffic at all). The rest rooms were sparkling clean...... Showers were tiled and were very nice.

I want to review this campground with big stars but I can't. We stayed there two times for one night each stay. The first time was nice and the service was terrific. Nice new spots down past office, an escort and great dog park. People were very nice and we would stay there again. Problem was we did stay there again and it wasn't good at all. I called and was told there was one more spot that night after we traveled for 12 hours from Montreal with our two big dogs and 3 people. We have a 40 foot... Read More

I called and was told there was one more spot that night after we traveled for 12 hours from Montreal with our two big dogs and 3 people. We have a 40 foot motorhome with a tow vehicle. The gal said it was not very level but not bad and we would need a board under our jack to get level. They met us to escort us in at 10:20 pm. We tried to get there in the light but there were two accidents that held us up. The escorted us to a sight that winded up and around the campground and then to get to the spot it was a sharp turn with a big tree down a grade to the site. The site itself was level enough but the drop in was hard to negotiate without twisting a bit to get into the site. They had one other vehicle that was 40 feet stay in that space so said it would work. I got out and looked at it before I just drove in and the man then told my husband he thought we should go and he would refund us and we needed to go to Wal Mart. We were not causing trouble or making problems we were being safe. He then looked at me and said you need to go to Wal Mart it's level there and you need to go and we will refund you. I told him we were very tired travelers and we were not going to go to Wal Mart just had to be careful getting in and we would make it work. He was so mean and I was so upset after a very long day. He had no compassion and no kindness for us and our family. When we left early the next day we had to be very careful not to miss the three trees on our way out. Too tight really for a big RV. I can't recommend this site and we won't ever stay there again. I rarely have been spoken to like that and it was so unnecessary.

About 11 miles South of Lexington Virginia, the Natural Bridge KOA sits just off of I-81. All the usual KOA amenities small clean pool, two laundry rooms, bathhouses, activities and playgrounds. Friendly and efficient staff (and a lot of them!). The sites are kind of varied We had a great site (37) in the lower "renovated" area, backed up to a forest and field, we had lots of space and privacy. Only downside to this site is the large trees blocking satellite view, although the cable channels works fine. But the rest of the lower lot is pretty much just a gravel parking lot with hookups and benches. Spaces are lumpy and close together. The upper, presumably non-renovated, area is scattered through the woods with some steep gravel hills to navigate. The sites are short and terraced so you're uphill of your front neighbor and downhill from your rear. Natural Bridge is an interesting geological formation converted to a State Park about 6 miles away. It's associated with an adjacent caverns and near to a wild animal park, a zoo and a dinosaur attraction. For $8 you can take a short hike to see the Natural Bridge and George Washington's initials carved into the wall from 1750.

We stayed one night in a 39 ft motorhome towing a car, The staff was efficient and had all the paperwork inline. They answered all our questions. The site was a pull through in a new area, gravel no grass in this area. The access was a little tight and I think they will correct this. The site was level. We did not use the bathhouse. There was a nice enclosed dog run. This was our second time here and we would gladly return.

Friendly, helpful staff and owners. Nice spaces, well maintained, with plenty of amenities. Not much to do nearby with exception of Natural Bridge(disappointing). Would certainly stay there again, but don't recommend the commercialized Natural Bridge experience. The staff even helped to correct our mistake of booking wrong campground and arranged for charges to be credited. Thanks to owners for staying late to accommodate us while doing laundry.
