The good part… flat wide sites. Concrete… good roads… It’s under the airport flight path so you will hear jets. It’s almost under a rail road so wow loud trains It’s near a major highway so that’s a constant noise source… Next to a junk car lot…

Initially we thought the park was good, and they warn you about having 100 psi but today we got up to almost NO WATER PRESSURE. My husband went out to check our hoses but the problem was at the water spigot, not us. Same was true of our neighbours, we needed to use our own water pump. Ok so that was not the biggest and most rude problem…. It was being woken up at 7:15am by their gardener who was mowing, edging and trimming all the grass/bushes everywhere even in our campsite with power tools/machines... Read More

WHAT HAPPENED TO QUIET HOURS? My husband and neighbor were trying to figure out the water issue, but the Gardner didn’t care he wanted them to move so he could get his lawn work done. So instead of having a nice relaxing breakfast before we left on our 6hr drive …. we packed up and got out of there quickly…. Our neighbors said they felt unwelcome too and were gonna do the same.

The positive is concrete pads with paved roads. So clean. The negatives are basically no campsite grass. The concrete pad is spacious but only 4-5 ft of grass which is shared with the neighbor, their sewer on the little grass I have. The jet noise is frequent and loud enough to disrupt conversations. The train comes by on an elevated tract which shakes the RV enough to interfere with the satellite reception. Interstate noise is very noticeable when outside. No dog area. NONE. There is a... This is the perfect "in and out" park. If you are traveling and want to pull in, set up , sleep and be gone in the morning this is for you. Paved streets, cement level pads, hook ups (water, sewer, elec) that actually are ready for you to hook up to...all is good. There is real grass between the sites that looks better than my lawn at home. Some folks spend more than a night here & I would too if I were sight seeing or had family or work in the area.Do yourself a favor and see what an urban RV park... Very friendly staff. Met the owner and chatted a bit about the history of the park. Very close to downtown St. Charles. This park is very well maintained and clean. I had a back in, which was difficult putting in my 43 foot rig. The concrete slabs are extra wide, so I was able to park my truck next to my rig, but that meant when I sat outside I looked at my truck grill and my neighbor's rig. The laundry facility was clean. Although there is no cable, your antenna will pick up many free stations from St. Louis, so not really an issue. There is no actual pet area and no pool. You need to leave the park through the back gate and go to the public park to walk your dog. Flooding was an issue at the park due to heavy rain. The park allowed vehicles to park on the roads in the park, which made it very tight trying to leave.I wish they would insist if your vehicle does not fit on your site you have to park in extra parking area.

Conveniently located to St. Louis sites. Clean facilities. But the most crowded campground I've been in. The sites are literally bumper to bumper_not a place with room to lounge around outside. They claim to be pet friendly: but there is very little grass for walking dogs. Nice showers, but stalls are so small you can barely turn around. There don't seem to be a lot of choices in the St. Louis area: so this may be best option.

Pros: Sundermeier RV Park is easy to reserve and easy to find with GPS. The owners/staff are pleasant at both reservation and check-in time. The facility itself is clean and neat, with level concrete sites and well-kept picnic tables. The park feels safe. Restrooms/showers are well-maintained and updated. However, in warm weather, they were stuffy and hot. A newer city park is nearby with a playground. This appears to be a dog-friendly facility. Cons: The park is basic - no pool, no playground for... Cons: The park is basic - no pool, no playground for children within the park. It is good for adults. Camping here is not peaceful and quiet. Having a major airport nearby means planes were flying over frequently at all times - from 5:00 am to after midnight. Very noisy! Not conducive to a quiet night's sleep. The train that also runs nearby adds to the noise. Having said that, this facility is about the best that you can get in or near St. Louis.

This campground was the best! The restrooms/showers are clean and spacious. It is very convenient to get to St. Louis so we could take in a Cardinals game. The staff in the office was very accommodating and helpful.

Very nice RV park. We had a pull thru that was concrete and very level. Site was large enough to set up our 33' with slides with plenty of room to park our truck and have plenty of concrete patio. Did not use their restrooms or showers. Very nicely groomed grass and planters. Staff was friendly and even the guys mowing was respectful when they came thru mowing. Will stay there again.

WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! This campground is convenient but that is about it. I was told one price when I reserved due to our late check in and told her I would be out early but she charged another with no communication. The place is in a dire need of updating. The sites are level and concrete but only worth a $35.00 camp fee not $59.00. We travel all over and are very aware of prices for amenities. This park does have WIFI but that is only amenity. Very Very clean and neat. All level concrete pull thrus with gracious grass strips between sites. Few trees to block satellite reception. Beautiful facility. Some people complained about the RR noise, but We did not find it to be offensive. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Stayed here the first week of April for 6 days. Here is a list of the pro's and con's with the facility: Pro's: 1) Location is great and the primary (maybe only) reason to stay at this campground. Easy on and off of Hwy 370. The Kady Trail runs directly next to the campground. The kids and I rode our bikes to the circus at the Family Arena which is on the Kady Trail as well. The trail will take you into the downtown portion of St. Charles which is a cute town with shops and restaurants. The... Read More

The trail will take you into the downtown portion of St. Charles which is a cute town with shops and restaurants. The location of this park is the primary draw of this campground. 2) Laundry and bathrooms were nice and average. Very clean but there were hardly any other campers at the campground when we stayed. 3) Level concrete pads which was nice but they needed to be a small bit wider and longer for the back-in sites. Pull through sites had plenty of room length wise. 4) Friendly staff 5) Directly next to a small park with a playground and just North of the campground (via Kady Trail) is another park with a playground. 6) Good wifi with strong signal but keep in mind there were hardly any campers at the campground. Might be different if more people were staying in the campground. Cons: 1) As mentioned above the back-in sites need to be a bit longer and wider. When you pull your camper in and then have to park next to the camper there isn't much room. The pull through sites have plenty of length. 2) A bit more expensive than other parks in the area but they do have a good location. 3) Small campsites with very little grass and NO fire pits. Wouldn't want a fire anyways due to your neighbor being so close. 4) No cable. A city park like this should really have cable as an option. 5) Noisy area and I realize the campground can't do anything about that it's just something to keep in mind. Keep in mind the lady that lives in the small green house by the back gate of the campground has a small yappy dog that barks a LOT at night. Had the AC and fans running and still heard the dog barking. Overall: Average park in a very good location. Bring your bikes as there is great biking along the Kady Trail.

Great place to stay. Love the proximity to highway and St. Charles. Very clean facility. Hosts are extremely helpful and friendly. Love St. Louis cake pops that are within walking distance. Sites are level concrete pads. Plenty of pull thru sights. Lots of amenities.

There is not much space for our small dog to play, and the rules said he should be walked outside the park. This was the most level our trailer has been since we got it, and the wifi was faster than what we had at home. The showers are very nice as well.

Please understand that my rating is based on the campground, not on the staff. We had no problems while there, other than the facility itself. When we arrived, we were surprised at where it was located. To get to the campground, you actually turn into a suburban subdivision to get there. The campground is bounded by houses in a subdivision, train tracks, and the interstate. Not to mention that the campground is directly in the landing path for the St. Louis Airport. So, needless to say, the place is noisy. That wound up not being a problem as we turn on the bedroom air fan, so we don't hear a lot of extra noise while trying to sleep. The sites themselves are concrete and level, and the utilities are exactly where they need to be. There is a small grassy area between campsites, and a picnic table on each site. That would be great if the area was nicer, but since we were just traveling through it didn't really matter. The bathrooms are clean and well-maintained, and are very nice. Enough said about that. Most of the people I met and talked to are contractors and working in the area. I would recommend this campground for an extended stay if you're working in the area, but for an overnight stay there are nicer campgrounds.

Sites are excellent, level concrete pads with convenient hook ups. Somewhat noisy, 100 yards from highway, 50 yards from railroad tracks and under flight path for St Louis International Airport. Since there is no cable TV, the avionics from passing aircraft disrupted TV reception frequently. The WIFI had the best signal strength and band width I have ever encountered in an RV Park. Not too pet friendly, park rules encourage you to walk pets outside the park. This park had some outstanding features and some not so much. You have to decide what suits you.

The park also said no pit bulls but they don't seem to follow that rule either. Since their are a few pits in here and a couple of them are not on the nice side. Makes you a bit nervous to be walking and having the dogs barking viciously at you, tugging on their tie outs trying to get to you.
