When we first pulled into the campground our first impression was "this is going to be a great weekend" and that it was. The grounds and facilities are very clean and neat. The owners and staff were very friendly, nice and helpful. They'll escort you to your site and help you get situated. They'll deliver firewood, ice and even home made pizza. There are a couple of roads that are narrow for larger rigs but no big deal. We will definitely be visiting this campground again.

My family and I love this campground. We stayed there last fall just as the new owners were taking over. We just spent 6 days there the last week of May. The new owners have made many improvements and more improvements are on the way. The minute you pull into the campground you know your going to enjoy your stay. The campground is clean, neat, well kept and you can tell the new owners love what their doing. Every staff member that we had contact with seem to love their job. They were amazing, polite,... The pull thru sites can accommodate any size RV, the roads are a little tight but if you can drive, you will not have any problems entering or leaving the campground. The pool was great, the bathhouses were clean and the store was well stocked. There are some small chickens and a duck roaming the campground but they belong to a resident that lives at the campground. Their are no longer free ranging chickens running around the campground. The pull thru sites behind the office/store can accommodate any size coach or RV. I highly recommend site 32. It is the best site they have. This is definitely our long weekend campground.

We stayed here twice, both for one night, while passing through VA. It looks on a map like it's right off RT 81, and it is. But the road in is about 3 miles and very windy, so like their sign says about halfway in, don't give up. It's very secluded in the middle of hills and farmland. We found the staff to be very nice and helpful, and had an escort to our site and help backing in. All the utilities worked great, the restrooms were clean and accessible. The roads are narrow but in fine shape. The... Read More

I don't mind being up early so no big deal. We'd come back and stay a little longer.

We stayed over Labor Day weekend and the park was full. This is not a huge campground at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is wooded with very few sites that get satellite. They have TV hook-ups at the site, but we did not use. The sites aren't as level as I would like, but we were able to level a 40ft fifth-wheel without much trouble. The road from the interstate to the campground is a country road, so it can be narrow and a little curvy. We had no problems getting there. The staff... Read More

They have both pull through and back-in sites. We were in a pull through site. The interior roads are all gravel and seem to be a little tight, but we didn't have any problems maneuvering our rig in or out. The store, bathhouse, pool, playground, dog park and other activities are at the entrance to the park, so it can be a little bit of a walk if your site is in the back. Everything was kept clean during our stay. Trash is picked up everyday from your site and firewood (after purchased) is delivered to your site. Our only complaint were the gnats. We will definitely be going back.

We've stayed here a few times and plan to stay more. It is a well maintained and friendly place to stay. The staff is great and helpful. It is in the mountains and you can expect the usual bugs and stuff. But it is a nice park. The sites can be small but for the most part they are ok.
