We almost didn't stay due to the GoodSam rating. We had a concert in Boone, this and all local RV parks were booked. I kept checking and finally got in when someone cancelled. This is a classic camp ground. Not a ton of frills but what camping was and should be all about, getting outside and enjoying nature and each other. The park is clean, bathroom/shower facilities are as well. The wifi is just in the cute coffee cafe, they don't have cable but have a ton of movies that you can borrow.... Read More

Lots of trails to walk, babbling brooks, wooden bridges, Catch and release pond, fields to play in with Giant size games. We had free Rootbeer floats on Friday Night, Outdoor Big Screen Movies around fire-pits on Saturday night. The staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. This Definitely deserves a better rating.

We stayed at Honeybear Campground in our travel trailer. The park is small and the spaces are fairly close to one another, but the experience was wonderful. We took our grown kids and spent the weekend. First of all, the park is neat and tidy and is quiet at night. The serenity was wonderful. The staff was wonderful and very accomodating. The Ladies shower was beautiful, very well appointed. The Men's shower is a work in progress, but it is being worked on. There are not many amenities at... Read More

There are not many amenities at this campground -- no pool or hot tub -- but there is a place for the kids to play and a nice little dog park. Several trails throughout the park and a lovely little fishing pond. They show movies on Saturday nights, weather permitting. Overall this is a good family-friendly place to stay. I'm sure we will be returning.
