We stayed here for 2 nights to go pick blueberries and visit with nearby friends and family. The host was very friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. We were in site 2 by choice and there was a little road noise but nothing too bad. Restroom and showers were very clean. Didn’t use laundry but it was clean. The office has a small store for fishing and snack items. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little park in a beautiful location. Owners and staff where terrific. Unfortunately the location right next to a crazy busy state highway makes it very noisy, at least on the front row, day and night with large trucks constantly flying by.

WE were greeted at check in and then escorted to our site. Very friendly owners and staff . laundry was clean and so were restrooms. felt very secure here was told owners and staff living on grounds. Some highway noise as campground is just off highway and train tracks on back of property behind the trails and pond. But nothing that really bothered, I have stayed in motels that was much more annoying with hwy. and train noise. We walked around the lake on the trail several people out fishing.... Read More

We asked about a place close to get a good burger and fries, they told us of a couple of choices nd really recommended Scotties just up the hwy. They were correct very good. Also the owner and my husband were talking about where we were headed from there and he gave him directions to save getting in narrow streets with travel trailer. Over all great place We would stay there again if in the area.

The Owners and all employees are SUPER nice people. Very friendly and welcomed us when we arrived and guided us to our spot. The ONLY thing I had a problem with was the water pressure was a little low. Had a hard time taking a good shower. Other than that the facility was very clean, well kept and again everyone there was super nice! That good Ole East Texas hospitality! Thank You

Park was very well kept. Staff was very welcoming. Our site was a large shaded pull through. Leveling our unit and hookup was easy and convenient. Overall the park was quiet - no loud voices or music. We did hear a little noise from the nearby highway and train but nothing that prevented us from enjoying our stay. We felt safe at this park as staff resides on site and there is surveillance. Bo greeted us and made sure we felt welcome! We did miss not having a pool or hot tub. The laundry,... Read More

We will definitely be back for another visit.

Easy access off Hwy 31. Office and store clean, neat and well organized. The campground is beautiful, many tall shade trees, walking trails and a lovely lake. There are quite a few full-timers and the areas around some of their sites were disgusting. We'd suggest a really good clean-up with large dumpsters provided. Only one set of restrooms for a very large park, but they were immaculate. Owner states new restroom/shower building to be built in future. Check-in became a little protracted... Read More

There are quite a few full-timers and the areas around some of their sites were disgusting. We'd suggest a really good clean-up with large dumpsters provided. Only one set of restrooms for a very large park, but they were immaculate. Owner states new restroom/shower building to be built in future. Check-in became a little protracted as we had paid in advance but they'd not asked if I was a Good Sam member, thus hadn't given us the discount. They didn't seem to know where to find the last four digits of the card I used on the receipt (FYI, it is right next to where the receipt prints type of card - VISA XXXX) so we had to go through several of my cards before it was resolved. They also didn't give me the campground brochure with site map, rules, WIFI code, etc. I took one anyway, but then didn't have the WIFI code. WIFI for visitors (free) is PAINFULLY slow. Good example of you get what you pay for. They do have "premium" WIFI, which I suspect the full-timers use. Please understand - despite the suggestions above, this is a beautiful park, extremely well maintained, and the new owners are making significant improvements. We'd definitely stay here again.
