Have stayed before without issue but this time when I questioned a low hanging tree branch that would drag along the top of my 5th wheel, I was promptly told to leave. The old guy that professes to be the "Manager" needs to learn that customers have opinions that need to be heard and addressed instead of him yelling and then kicking them off the property. Sites are small and backin sites are angled at 90 degrees to the driveway, so getting in without driving on grass is impossible. Strongly... Read More

We camped in the Okotoks Lions Sheep River Campground for two nights during the second week of May 2018. This excellent campground is not difficult to find in this attractive bedroom community south of Calgary, AB. I found the staff there to be extremely personable and pleasant. I was unfamiliar with a "Lions Club" campground but learned that this was fairly common in Canada as a fundraising project for the local philanthropic club. Great mission! I was unfamiliar with a "Lions Club" campground but learned that this was fairly common in Canada as a fundraising project for the local philanthropic club. Great mission! The campground is right on the banks of the Sheep River with a city playground co-located there too. The RV camp is walking distance to businesses, restaurants and banks in the neighborhood that surround the park. We were directed into our pull-through site by a staff member where we hooked up to water, sewer and 50 amp electric service for $35.20 (USD) per night. This park had excellent tree cover and grass throughout the park, very well maintained level campsites and a park host on site 24 hours/day. For an urban RV park, it's surprisingly quiet at all times of the day and night. This is not an "RV resort" style park, which may be one of the reasons we loved this campground and will definitely return anytime we are in this area.

This is a nice facility in a beautiful setting. However, be prepared to be treated "crisply" by the staff. I arrived to find someone parked in front of the sign that said "Park Here" and before I knew it had two park staff yelling at me to back up. Not being able to see behind me, I was reticent to do so. Also not stated on the promotional is that you need a water regulator on your hose intake. Thankfully, my tanks were full and I could dry camp for the weekend. They advertise "Internet" but in... They advertise "Internet" but in reality it is a pay-for-service program. Finally, the showers cost money and do not have a temperature adjustment, mine was too hot and I had to stand outside the shower and splash myself. Hopefully, you'll set aside an extra hour or so to read all the the "DO NOT..." signs.
