This was the first time I was shocked about a campground based on the Good Sam Rating. We only stay at the highest rated parks and this one was a complete disappointment. There was a huge hill to climb to get to the office and then there were narrow roads that were very bumpy and tree lined. We have a 46' fifth wheel so we have to have big rig friendly parks. This was anything but big rig friendly. Yes we fit in the site but trees scraped our rig on the side and the top getting to our site. These... Read More

These were all gravel roads that the park were continually dragging daily to try to get the rock back on the roads. There was a motor home next to us and they also said this was their first and last time to this park. There was only 1 bathroom for the entire park and I had to hold the chain in order to run the shower and try to shower while holding this. The trash was down at the office so not convenient. The only good thing I have to say about this park is their WiFi was outstanding 5G. Not sure how Good Sam rating was 9-10-10. You also didn't want to meet another camper on the road because someone might be backing up for 1/2 mile because the roads are narrow for 1 vehicle. The campground is on a mountain so you're pulling your rig up hills and tight corners to maneuver to your site. Your sites are shaded because of all the trees. If you have a unit you don't care about this is the place for you. We have a new rig and we keep it nice but again I'm not sure how this park was rated so high. We're staying in a park rated 9-10-9 with asphalt roads, brick patios, patio furniture, bus service from the park and there is no comparison and I'm paying the same price. So sorry to say this park was a big disappointment. Never again.

amazing Memorial Day Trip! We loved it so much we booked again to go back in 2 weeks for Father's Day! The staff makes you feel like family!

Management and staff wonderful and helpful. Small store, pool not heated. Not really bike friendly for little kids a lot of hills and rocks. Bathrooms not very clean and should be updated ( holding a chain and not regulating your own temp to shower) activities were good ( we went Labor Day weekend) Cash only for check in and store, no credit cards. They should also enforce a no smoking policy where kids go for activities. Pet friendly

This is as great place to camp. The staff goes above and beyond to insure you have a good time. Plenty of activities for children and adults alike. The pool is clean and well maintained. They have a catch and release pond for fishing that our grandkids love. I recommend you take the opportunity to find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. Bess and Jim King

A fine campground with many nice touches.

Very country rural feeling in the sites. Pool was freezing, it can't be heated I swear, which is bad in the poconos. Playground was mediocre not real speaking to my 7 year old. Our site was on the east end near the road and you felt like in the woods until a vehicle drove by reminding you the road was there lol. But was not a bother at all I kind of enjoyed a "boring" campground here because the fun is all around you in the Poconos. So quiet and serene at the campsite to relax in. We... Read More

No problems backing in. Plenty of room at site. Might be back again

We stayed here on a holiday weekend. Park was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The roads are narrow but in good condition. Camp store was clean and well stocked. The staff we encountered were all very friendly. Our site was nicely shaded and roomy but sites are very close together. You can hear what your neighbors are saying but we didn't find it to be a problem. The site was gravel and relatively level. Water pressure was adequate but not great. While leaving I noticed the power pedastol... Read More

You can hear what your neighbors are saying but we didn't find it to be a problem. The site was gravel and relatively level. Water pressure was adequate but not great. While leaving I noticed the power pedastol was reversed polarity as indicated by my power surge protector but I didn't suffer any problems during our stay. WiFi is offered but we had a horrible time trying to connect with the username and password system. We were able to connect with one device at a time but most of the time not at all. This was not a reception problem but because of the security to sign in. We are in the middle of the country, who is in the area to steal Wifi? The fishing pond is across the street and we caught tons of Sunny's and one trout. The pool was crystal clear and super clean. Overall this is a very nice campground. People are friendly, atmosphere is relaxing, very quiet, very clean. We will definitely return as we enjoyed our stay.

First time camping with our new Class A Motorhome! Enjoyable experience. Friendly staff, clean camp sites, very well kept, lots of shade. Restroom facilities were clean. Took us directly to our pull thru site (nice selection of pull thru sites), plenty of room, especially for first timers with a 36' plus rig! Nice clean pool. At certain sites you can hear road noise and see cars, but not an issue. Just a nice, relaxing place to stay for a weekend. Roads in campground are a bit narrow and very bumpy,... Read More

But we even were next to a large double axle Class A.so it's doable! Nice and quiet in the evening. Great Customer Service at Mountain Vista! Just booked a girls weekend! A definite keeper!
