Stayed for one night and this location was way overpriced. The majority of the facilities were closed down, none of that was mentioned on the phone when booking nor when we checked in. Cash not accepted at the store, bar/grill closed, site hookups were in off locations, sewage hookup ran uphill, playground was closed. I would keep looking for a different campground!

Like other reviewers... it could be a nice campground. It is clean and the surrounding environment is unique and nice. However, it is very expensive for what I got down by the river on an off river site. The site is incredibly small. My neighbors fire ring was less than a foot from my site and smoked us out completely. I could not position my camper far enough from the fire. After a long day drive, we had to leave and set up later. I would have left but 6 days paid and no refunds is hard... Read More

They do not enforce the large dog rule as we were surrounded by large aggressive breeds. The clientele they attract is also poor. Pot smoking and loud. The aggressive breed dogs were labeled "Emotional Support". This is apparently the New Colorado!! Bathroom was clean but, no privacy for the showers. Don't be shy! I would not come back to this campground.

I did laundry and from where our site was it was quite a hike up the hill, and it is $4.00 for a washer and $3.00 for a dryer which is a little pricey compared to other campgrounds we have stayed at. I would stay here again. It was one of our favorite RV campgrounds of our entire trip.

Should have known when they said it was $5.00 per night per pet is was not for me. Although the setting for the park was beautiful, I was disappointed with the place as a whole. I was traveling with my brothers and one of them broke down on the way there and was not able to stay at the RV Park. They would not refund any of his money as they have a 60 day cancellation policy. Supposedly the office is open til 6:00 as per their schedule, but when we got there at 5:30 it was locked up tight. They left a note on the door saying who was in what sites for late arrivals. It then said that the rest of the sites are open. Apparently the night manager isn't subject to quiet hours like the rest of the people staying there. He was partying outside with his friends watching tv and making noise at their motorhome til between 10:30 and 11:00 pm. They have no cable tv hook up and all sites whether they are full hook up or not are $69 plus tax which runs about $80. The hook ups are a joke too! Your sewer is at the front of most sites while your electrical is at the very back and the water is in the middle. We had to elect to not hook up to the sewer and empty our tanks when we left as that I didn't know I had to have 2 sets of sewer hoses to be able to hook up to it. I was greatly Disappointed and won't stay there again!

Called ahead to reserve a space and mentioned that my trailer was 32' long. On arrival the young woman at the desk would not honor my Good Sam discount, saying that in the "off season" the resort does not give it. Went to space #6 reserved by the river. It was way too short a space for a long trailer. No other campers were in the campground by the river, so moved to space 41, one row from the river. Then had to hike (very steep gravel road) back to the office to inform the desk. Back at the campsite,... Read More

It was way too short a space for a long trailer. No other campers were in the campground by the river, so moved to space 41, one row from the river. Then had to hike (very steep gravel road) back to the office to inform the desk. Back at the campsite, discovered the pedestal was mis-wired. The 15 amp switch powered on the 30 amp outlet. The 30 amp switch did nothing. Later that night, a group had a get together a few sites from us, but they were not campers. They had no RV or tent but just used the fire pit to cook some food. An hour or so later they left. This made me uneasy about security there. When we left, I nearly had to use 4 wheel drive to make it up the road because of the lack of traction from the grade and gravel. The nearest restroom was closed. The dump station was on a grade and the faucet wasn't working. As mentioned in some of the other reviews, it appears that there are multiple separate businesses working out of the this venue - river rafting, zip line, even school bus parking. All this left me with the impression that RV camping was not their primary business, yet they charge resort rates, but without the resort amenities - not even an escort to your site. I cannot give them a good recommendation and do not understand why they can call themselves a Resort much less a Good Sam campground.

This campground was a big disappointment. It is more focused on river rafting than RVers, the sites are small, the cost is high for the service provided and they charged a resort fee on top of the campground fee and there were no resort amenities. We experienced rafting trips in and out of the campground continually, bus loads of people meandering around. Absolutely the worst RV experience we have ever had. My family and I were traveling home to Georgia from Alaska and looked up RV resorts through Colorado. Absolutely the worst RV experience we have ever had. My family and I were traveling home to Georgia from Alaska and looked up RV resorts through Colorado. We found Glenwood Canyon RV resort and made reservations to stay the night. The website was well designed and it made the RV "Resort" truly look like a resort. They had zip lining, a rock wall, a ropes course, a resturant, and bar. All on site. We made the reservation and after mentioning my teacup yorkie and two children the price jumped up to $94.00. Now keep in mind we thought we made reservations at a "resort" so the extra 5 charge for the dog and extra 7.00 each for the two kids still seemed fair. After all you pay more for resorts because of the extra amenities and activities. We literally were so excited about getting there that we cut our trip through Arches National Park super short just so we could hurry and get there and let the kids have fun. We arrived at 4:00 pm. Check in was at 2:00 pm so we figured we still had plenty of fun to be had because the office didn't close until 10:00. After checking in and going to our site we plugged in and took our bikes down. We rode down to the building where all the activities were done. It was literally around 4:25 pm by the time we got there. It looked pretty cool and my kids immediately wanted to do the zip line. The zip line consisted of 1 zip line going across the river then 1 coming back. After finding out it was 35.00 per person and that we had to do it with them so it would've cost our family of 4, $140 dollars for 2 short zip lines we weren't sure about it but still asked when we could do it. The man behind the counter said the next zip line activity starts at 6:00 pm and it was also the last one of the day. We then asked about the rock wall. The man said the rock wall was closed. We then asked about the ropes course. Closed as well. We were shocked! It was a Saturday at 4:30 pm in the middle of July. Why was everything closed. I remembered asking if the resort was kid friendly and was there stuff for kids to do before making the reservation. We decided to go talk to the office and request a refund because there was no activities open and it was the only reason we paid the high price of the site, the resort fees, the child fees for each child, and the dog fee. The man working in the office got a lady from the back who came out to speak with us who bluntly said she is not giving us our money back. We had only been in the site for about 1 hour and were willing to pay some money for the power we consumed in that hour. She said absolutely no refunds. She said she gets this all the time?????people wanting to leave and wanting refunds. She probably shouldn't have said that because in my mind a well run, fun resort shouldn't run into this as often as she said she does. She went on to say that when we made the reservation over the phone we were told once it's been paid for it is non refundable. We RV all the time and have never ran into something like this. She said she was the one who made our reservation so she lied about the things there was to do. If she made the reservation then she also knew we would only be staying one night and she should have said their activities were not open. When I questioned her about this she said that all the activities were open and the next time slots were at 6:00. This was incorrect or a lie because we just came from the activity center/bar/ grill and they said the only thing they were doing was the zip line at 6:00. She acted like that was news to her. She got loud, then in turn my wife and I got loud. All we wanted was our money back and we would leave to go find a RV park that at least had a decent playground for the kids to play on. Then the manager called the police. I guess they can get loud but we couldn't. So after 2 very nice police officers arrived and took everyone's statement they were still unwilling to give us a refund. At first they told the police officers that if we chose to stay, we would have to stay inside our RV for the remainder of our stay. We couldn't go to the office or the activity building or the resturant. We would literally be confined to our RV. I guess they figured we would pitch a tent by the checkin office to warn other potential customers. This to us was unacceptable so we chose to leave and take it up with our credit card company later. This was a complete disaster and a huge waste of money. Do NOT get scammed by them!!!

This park is an adventure park with Ziplines, white water rafting, kayaking etc. Thus it caters to younger more athletic people. In the evening there are noisy parties even tho there are supposed to be quiet hours.I do not recommend this park for older RVrs lokking for a quiet stop. The management was insensitive to complaints about noise and inconsiderate to my wife and myself.

The campsite was amazing, backed right up to the river - it was great watching the boaters, fishermen, paddleboarders, and zipliners from our spot on the shore. But the rest of our experience was not so great. We thought the price was extremely high. None of the staff we encountered were personable or friendly. There were so many "rules" they were trying to enforce. We arrived at 1:15 pm and they refused to let us check in before 2 pm, would not even tell us our campsites, and indeed would... Read More

We arrived at 1:15 pm and they refused to let us check in before 2 pm, would not even tell us our campsites, and indeed would not let us park on their grounds to wait (there was no place to park anyway). We had to go down the road to a rest area to park and wait. It did not make us feel welcomed! Quiet hours were surprisingly not enforced, a group of young women partied loud and long next to us into the wee hours one night. The showerhouse was a long way up the hill, the doors did not shut tightly , so the place was covered in bugs every morning that had come in to the lights which were left on all night. Overall, although the river site was awesome, the price was too high for the rest of the experience, I doubt that we return.
