Stayed 4 nights while visiting the Reno, Carson City, Lake Tahoe area. We picked this park because of the proximity to all the above, plus it was in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of which we love. This park is one of those places I call "just big enough" In other words its tight maneuvering driving in and out, sites are close together, just enough space for my 38' 5th wheel, and tow vehicle. Management is aware of this as all the Big Rig Sites are positioned closer to the front entrance, so if you have a "Class A" do not let what I said scare ya. My site was not very level, my auto level system could not get it right, but close enough. I noticed others having the same problem. No cable, WiFi is fair at best, but the place is peaceful, and so were my neighbors, and conveniently located for the area. We easily spent a day at all places mentioned above. Great store with gas pumps, but it's a lot cheaper to buy your diesel in Nevada, trust me! The staff was very nice and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again in the future.

Driving up to the Check in area has a very appealing appearance, Truckee river across the road, friendly staff, nice exterior grounds and nice little store interior. However upon driving to our RV site we noticed about half of the sites had permanent/temp unit in them. The sites are very nice/spacious, hookups are good with grass and fir shade trees. Checking out the two restroom/shower buildings, only one building was operating and with only one toilet working in the men's room. Restroom/Showers were just okay, needs some TLC. The daytime/evening noise levels being pretty high with Hwy 80 and the Train tracks with in ear & eye distance, yet these seem quiet down in the a.m. hours. Close by to the town of Truckee with good access to Hwy 80.
