Appeal Rating The Crescent City KOA is the 67th stop for us and we stayed 7 nights – we did not use the bath house, laundry or other amenities – and it served as our home base for the federal and state redwood parks. Overall, it is a small, middle of the road KOA campground set nicely amongst mature trees, including redwoods. Immediately off 101 so very convenient to the parks and just 6 miles from Crescent City but cannot hear much traffic noise (and our site was toward the front of the park). Debbie was quite nice at check in and put up with my couple of questions plus when we had an issue, she had somebody at our site taking care of it in less than 10 minutes. The sites are decent but need some grading and new gravel where significant pooling of water takes place when raining. If you have a rig over 35 feet, you will find the inner roads a bit tight to navigate. And for the septic, they do not have a p-trap so there is liquid about a foot down in the pipe but the tanks drain fine. Overall, would rate a 4.0. Late morning text for connectivity. WiFi 16.8 down/2.6 up T-Mobile 48.7 down/2.0 up Verizon 3.5 down/0.2 up.

Appeal Rating We enjoyed this RV resort and will stay here again. Part of the resort is in the Redwoods which is stunning, part is in the open with a few shade trees and grass. There are also numerous cabins available for rent all nestled within the Redwood forest. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The sites are level gravel sites and we had full hook up with 50 amp service.
They also have a few farm animals consisting of small goats and chickens on one side of the park. It was enjoyable to watch kids (children) as they observed the animals.
I think the nicest part was the ability to walk through the Redwood trees right there and see how majestic they are. There is also a nice sand beach just a few miles away where you can see Castle Rock just a short distance off shore and the Sea Lions which congregate there. Very beautiful.

Appeal Rating This campground is tucked back into the Redwood Forest. It has a lots of room to walk around, a great dog run, big playground, and a wonderful forest of Redwoods. I booked a deluxe site which was phenomenal! This gave us a private deck with table, chairs, porch swing, and fire pit. Much better than the other sites which are very close together. The bathrooms in the tent area are very small and over used. The laundry is very small and over used. This place could use an update.
