We had a 3-night stay at the Bear Paw Campground in Valdez, AK over Labor Day weekend 2018. Like many campgrounds in northern Canada and Alaska, this campground is a gravel "parking lot" across the street from the harbor. Parking is a bit tight but there was enough room to maneuver a 38 foot 5th wheel trailer fairly easily. The location is very convenient to the harbor, fishing and the "tourist strip". Considering there are city streets surrounding the campground, it was relatively quiet overnight.... Read More

When returning to Valdez, I'd choose to camp here again because of it's convenience to the town and the area. Cost was $45 a night with water, sewer and 50 amp electric hook-up.
